The purpose of this page is a catch-all of useful investing and personal finance information sources that I have found in my investing journey. These links are to websites, articles, data, or other information that I believe will be useful in a current or future article or book. I am storing them here publicly in case they are also useful to any of my readers.
Primary Data Sources
Primary data sources are the foundation upon which good analysis is built. These sources provide raw, unedited information which can then be analyzed without intervening filters having been already put in place.
- United States Wage Statistics by Year – Social Security Administration
Secondary Sources
Secondary sources are those sources which have used primary data to create useful visualizations of data. The key is not necessarily the analysis that goes into creating the visualizations, but instead the fact that source data is clearly cited and can be traced back to the unmanipulated primary data sources.
- Visual Charts of various data about the world – Our World in Data
Tertiary Sources
Tertiary sources are the articles and websites that provide some key analysis which has resonated with me. They usually analyze primary or secondary data and compile information in a way that has led me to useful insights.
